John is a Past President of the World Federation of Personnel Management Associations (WFPMA) which represents some 60 national associations and more than 400,000 professional members world-wide. He served on that body's executive committee from 1984 to 1996, as Secretary - General 1984 to 1988 and President l988 to 1992. He was on the executive committee of the Asian Pacific Human Resource Association from 1982 to 1988 as Secretary General.
In 1996 he was awarded the George Petitpas memorial award by the WFPMA for excellence in and ongoing contribution to, International Human resources. He was only the sixth such recipient of this most prestigious international award.
John has lectured in human resource management at both undergraduate and graduate levels at several significant universities and is presently adjunct faculty for DePaul University of Chicago, USA and the University of Phoenix, Phoenix, USA. He is a regular key note speaker and has spoken at major conferences in Europe, North America, South America, Asia Pacific, Middle East, Africa and India. He has authored a number of major articles on subjects such as, culture, international executive compensation and human resources
He is totally committed to the concept of treating all employees with dignity and respect as being the foundation stone for organisational success. He acts as a strategic adviser to Chief Executives as their growth partner, helping them to expand and globalize their businesses.
His particular focus is on Human Resource issues including Leadership, employee communication networks, reward strategies and change management programs that result in the sustained improvement in quality and productivity through better informed and thus committed employees.
